Lots of loverly awards:

  • Player of the Year - the second club trophy presented by Chips Fretwell.  Each player receives a man of the match vote to award after every first xv match.  At the end of the season, these are totted up and the recipient of the highest number of votes receives this trophy.
  • Player of the Year Runner-up - the fourth trophy presented by then club captain Andy Bodle.  First awarded in 1986 it was originally intended for the second team player of the year awarded on the same basis as the Player of the Year trophy.  From 1989 it was awarded for ‘bench service’ or those players in the opinion of the playing staff (captain, vice captain and coach) had done most as a reserve or unsung contributor.  From 1994 it was awarded to the runner up in the Player of the Year category.
  • Player of the Year Third Place - the fifth trophy presented by Paul Rucklidge former club captain and first awarded in 1997 to the third placed player in the Player of the Year category.
  • Clubman of the Year - the oldest trophy within the Club, first awarded in 1980 and presented by the then President R E (Bob) Allen.  It is awarded for outstanding service to the club over the past year in either a playing or non playing capacity.  Each club member in attendance at the annual club supper votes on candidates.
  • Most Improved Player of the Year - the third club trophy presented by the then Club Chairman Allen Turner.  First awarded in 1986, this is elected by the Playing Staff and awarded to the player who has shown most improvement over the season.
  • Tour Tankard - presented by club stalwart Rob Brittin in 2002 and awarded to the ‘tourist’ of the year in the opinion of the tour organising committee.
