The fourth trophy presented by then club captain and now President Andy Bodle .  First awarded in 1986 it was originally intended for the second team player of the year awarded on the same basis as the Player of the Year trophy.  From 1989 it was awarded for ‘bench service’ or those players in the opinion of the playing staff (captain, vice captain and coach) who had done most as a reserve or unsung contributor.  From 1994 it was awarded to the runner up in the Player of the Year category.
